Professor Odusanya is a professor of Public Health Medicine Department of Community Health and Primary Health Care, Lagos State University and Consultant, Community Physician to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. Prof. Odusanya is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and Community Medicine, National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and a Member of the New York Academy. Professor Odusanya has help positions of Head of Department, Dean of Faculty and Provost Lagos State University College Medicine and Director, Research Management and Innovation, Lagos State University. He is a widely published scholar with over 115 papers in learned journals.
