Dr. Oluwole I. Ogunyemi holds First Class Honours B. Agric. Tech. Degree from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria with M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degrees in Agricultural Economics from University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria; Member, Nigerian Economic Society; Senior Lecturer, Agricultural Economics and Farm Management Department.
He was member of various committee including Chair, Head of Department and Unit, and Assistant Director Research Innovations and Development in Lagos State Polytechnic, Nigeria; Member, Planning and Local Organising Committee, 2018 International Conference on Infrastructure Development in Africa (ICIDA).
He was a participant at the first Africa Trade Week on African Continental Free Trade Area, held at African Union Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Dr. Ogunyemi has a number of book chapter, conference and journal publications to his credit including Ogunyemi, O. I. (2014) Gender, market participation and income polarisation among farming and non-farming households in Nigeria, Agriculture Myths and Facts Programme Workshop Paper, LSMS-ISA, DECPI, World Bank, Washington D. OUR OBJECTIVES
- To make the Department a centre of excellence in training, research and extension services in Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, Food Policy Analysis and Agribusiness Management as well as Environmental and Resources Economics.
- To focus research efforts on areas of relevance to our immediate environment and the local and global food situations.
- To encourage inter-disciplinary cooperation in research among staff and other external affiliations.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management was established to provide high quality Economic and Farm Management input into the Bachelor of Agriculture Degree programme that befits the institution’s stature as a University of Science and Technology.

- One of Geography, Physics and Economics
- A trade subject
