Oluyemi Adekanmbi graduated from the former Lagos State Polytechnic in 1997, and was employed as a Confidential Secretary 1 in 2002.  He rose to the position of a Principal Confidential Secretary in 2009 before his conversion into academic position of a Principal Instructor.

He obtained a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource (option) from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho in 2012, before proceeding to the University of Southampton, UK in 2018 for a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Information Systems Management.  He is a member of some professional bodies in Nigeria such as the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), Institute of Public Management (IPM) and National Institute of Office Administrators and Information Managers (NIOAIM).  He has also written and presented academic papers on Information and Technology, published in a number of academic journals.

He was appointed the Ag. HOD in the department of Office Technology and Management (OTM) in 2019, and was reappointed the Ag. HOD in the department of Office and Information Technology (LASUSTECH) in July, 2022.  He is currently a Doctoral student of Office and Information Management at the Lead City University, Ibadan,
