Welcome to Human Capacity Development Center (HCDC), Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu. Lagos. HCDC is a dynamic and proactive unit dedicated to the mission of building human capital within the University, external organizations, and individuals for excellent service delivery and quality business outcomes. By enhancing the human capacity to the highest levels of productivity, we help Lasustech and other organizations achieve their highest levels of performance. Excellence, service, and integrity are our watchword.
The primary objective of HCDC is to increase efficiency and competency of employees and students of the Institution. We do this by developing courses and relevant training programmes, solely or in collaboration with our partners. The directorate employs strategies of short, medium and long duration courses such as conferences, seminars, group training, in-demand training, and certificate courses.
The directorate has successfully carried out the following training programmes. Changing the narratives training programme for HODs and Assistant Directors of School of Part Time Programmes, Enhancing Academic Leadership Skills for Effective Service Delivery for Heads of Departments, the Competency Development Programme for Deans and Directors, Effective and Efficient Conduct of Invigilation and Examination for Adjunct Staff.HCDC has also organized training program in collaboration with Registry, Bursary, Audit and Laspotech Consults.
Our guiding principle is to add value to our customer through providing relevant training programs that lead to significant and quantifiable changes in employee’s job performance and behaviour.
