The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) team on Tuesday 16th May, 2023 held an interactive session with members of staff of the University at the College of Agriculture (500-Seater) Auditorium, Ikorodu. The interaction focused on Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme of the Lagos State Government for residents of Lagos State.
Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya, the Vice Chancellor, in his presentation titled ” Take Responsibility of Your Health” advised members of staff of the University to take utmost responsibility and care of their health, adding that it is when they are alive that they can work and be active or relevant.
Speaking further, the VC highlighted reasons and facts why health matters of the staff should be a priority. He advised staff members to key into the Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme of the State Government so as to enjoy its immense benefits.
The General Manager of LASHMA, Dr . Emanuella Zamba represented by a staff of the Agency in her presentation, intimated members of staff of the University on the various packages available on the scheme, the cost implications, hospitals under the scheme and the benefits attached to each package. The session also featured questions and answers.
