Seide Modupe Akoro had her secondary education at Badagry Grammer School,  Badagry, Lagos, and her tertiary education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where she graduated with B. Sc (Hons) Chemistry in 1990 and M.Sc Chemistry in 1995 and later Ph.D. in Organic and Natural Products Chemistry in 2016 at the University of Ibadan.

In the course of her doctoral study, she was a TETFUND Scholar at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, the USA between May 2014 and March 2015.  Dr. Seide Modupe Akoro is a Chartered Chemist (MICCON), the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), and the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).

Organic and Natural Products Chemistry.

Current Research

• Phytochemical investigation, antioxidant, enzyme inhibitory, and Cytotoxic activities of medicinal plants used in the management of Mellitus and cancer traditionally.
• Investigation of medicinal activities of nanoparticles from medicinal plants.
