Mr. Shakirudeen A. Bello, an astute and seasoned administrator is the incumbent Registrar of the foremost Polytechnic, newly transmuted to Lagos State University of Science and Technology, Ikorodu, by the bill signed into Law in February 2nd, 2022, by His Excellency, Mr.  Babajide, Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Mr. S. A. Bello is a Nigerian of Lagos State origin, born 59 years ago into the Obateru Royal Family of Egbin and Rademo Royal Family of Ikorodu, Lagos State. He is an alumnus of Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, where he obtained a B.A. ED.
(Hons) and proceeded further for his Master’s Degree in Public Administration (M.P.A.) with specialization in Human Resources and  Personnel Management at the same University.

Mr. S. A. Bello started his career as a teacher, with the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission in 1991 and on 15th March, 1993, he joined the services of Lagos State Polytechnic at the lowest ebb of administration as an Administrative Officer II, from where he rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar, a position he held and served in numerous managerial/academic and administrative capacity from August, 2010 – February 8th, 2018 when he attained the ultimate rank/position of the Registrar of this citadel of tertiary education.

Mr. S. A. Bello is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, (MNIM). A Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Management (FIPMN), a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers International (FICPM) and a Member, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (MCIPM). He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration (FCAI), Fellow of the Institute of Training and Development (FITD).
