Experience & Activities

John was born on the 1^st November, 1960 at Idimu, Lagos State. He started his academic journey at Victory College, Ikare in 1973 and finished 1978 where he obtained his (WASC), after which he proceeded to Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi to obtain HND in 1983 and did his National Youth Service Corps in 1984 at Industrial Development Centre, Maiduguri, Borno State. He went to LASU to obtain MBA Finance in 2005. Because of his love for Academics, he went for his BSc Degree in Accounting at European American University in 2011 and completed the programme in 2013. He also got admission to study Masters of Science in Accounting and badged his PhD in 2015 with Aldersgate University Phillipines.

He is a member of the following professional institutes with status:

• Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria,
• Fellow, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria,
• Professional Member, Nigerian Institute of Management etc.

Oyetade has written several textbooks. He has published articles in several journals with both local and international outfits and has presented, attended and contributed to several conferences and seminars. He has also reviewed several academic articles, journals, conference papers etc.

He has held several strategic positions in the former Lagos State Polytechnic ranging from Director SPTS (Evening), Director, Laspotech (CESA), former Dean, SM&BS, Member, Academic Board, Head of Department, Director-General, Chief Invigilator, Chairman, Training Workshop and Conference Committee and Chairman of SMBS National Conference etc.

Oyetade is happily married and blessed with children.
